Dr. Dongming Hou, MD, PhD, FAHA, FACC, FSCAI. He currently serves as a committee voting member of SCAI. Dr. Hou’s research focuses on cardiovascular devices and translational medicine. He is the first inventor on multiple U.S. patents, with 10 granted U.S. patents and 2 U.S. provisional patents. He has published more than 200 scientific articles, reviews, and conference abstracts in leading cardiovascular journals, with research spanning heart failure, cell therapy, cardiovascular implantable devices, vascular imaging and coronary physiology, endothelial function and vascular healing, and structural heart disease technologies. In academic service, Dr. Hou has served as a peer reviewer and editorial contributor for multiple scientific journals, as well as a reviewer for abstract selection at major cardiovascular conferences. He has also participated in American Heart Association (AHA) research grant review committees. Professionally, Dr. Hou has held senior scientific and academic positions at St. Joseph’s Translational Research Institute / St. Joseph’s Hospital (Atlanta, USA), Mercer University (USA), and Boston Scientific Corporation, where he served as a Distinguished Fellow, a role equivalent to senior executive scientific leadership. Dr. Dongming Hou currently serves as a visiting professor in the Departments of Cardiology at several hospitals in China. He also acts as a consultant and physician proctor for the TF J-Valve program, contributing to valve and patient selection and supporting related scientific publications.
