Professor Meng is a Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and Vice Chair in the Department of Anesthesia at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He received his MD degree from Peking Union Medical College in 1997 and completed residency training at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He had held academic appointments at leading institutions, including Duke University, the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Yale University, and Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on perioperative neuroscience, regulation of cerebral blood flow, neuromonitoring, hemodynamic management, and artificial intelligence– and machine learning–enabled clinical research. He has delivered more than 200 invited lectures and has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles.
