40年在中山大学附属第一医院的工作历练，使之成为一名优秀麻醉医学科学家。擅长各类临床疑难危重病例的处理治疗，安全完成超过10,000例各种麻醉，历练成优秀麻醉医师麻醉学学者。2016年获中山大学名医，2017年获中国杰出麻醉医师奖，2018年获首届广东省医师奖，2019年获中山大学附属第一医院好医师奖，2020年获中国医师协会医师报 十大医学影响力专家。主持完成亚洲首例多器官移植麻醉，主持完成国际第八例52小时联头婴分离治疗麻醉，主持完成中国首例体外血液循环高温治疗肿瘤和血液传染病的麻醉管理。众多成功案例达到国际先进水平，无愧于患者生命的守护医生。
研究领域是心血管疾病、老年患者手术以及器官移植麻醉；精晓围术期各类危重病人的容量治疗策略和重要脏器功能保护。至今共发表54篇SCI论文（第一作者和通讯作者），总IF  147.66，单篇最高IF  34.915；总被引频次1757次，H指数48，通讯作者论文单篇最高被引次数150次。于2000年获得第一个国家自然科学基金支持项目，至今已主持多项国家级基金，其中两项科技部国家
重点研发计划，课题名称：网络化全域老年疼痛控制中心建设及应用示范研究
（2020YFC2008405）。以参与人负责项目科技部国家重点研发计划，课题名称：重症和手术多源监护数据的实时采集与辨识（2018YFC0116701）。
十~十三届中华医学会麻醉学分会常务委员，十~十三届中华医学会麻醉学分会器官移植学组组长；现任中国研究型医院学会麻醉学分会副主任委员、海峡两岸医药卫生交流学会麻醉分会副主任委员、中国医疗保健国际交流促进会围术期医学分会副主任委、中国老年医学会麻醉学分会副主任委员；广东省医学会麻醉学分会前任主任委员。

Professor HUANG Wenqi is an excellent anesthesiologist and medical scientist with 35 years of track record at The Frist Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Huang has been pushing the envelope of anesthesiology and pioneered in managing some of the most challenging operations in China and worldwide, including the first multi-organ transplantation in Asia, the eighth successful separation of craniopagus twins in the world, and the first hypothermic cancer treatment with extracorporeal circulation in China. Professor Huang excels in the clinical management of critical cases and conditions , on top of other outstanding skills, ensured successful operations in more than 10,000 patients. Professor Huang was awarded as the Outstanding Physician of Sun Yat-sen University in 2016, Excellent Anesthesiologist of China in 2017, Best Physician of Guangdong Province in 2018, Excellent Physician of The First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in 2019, and listed among Top 10  Most Influential Medical Experts in China by Chinese Medical Doctor Association in 2020.

3. Clinical and research interests
Professor Huang   devote himself to research areas , especially those complicated by advanced ages, cardiovascular diseases, and organ transplantations. His profound expertise in perioperative volume therapy and vital organ protection。 Professor Huang is also a productive researcher and has published more than 100 papers in various academic periodicals, including one article with an IF of 10.773 published in 2019. Since winning his first National Natural Science Fund in the Year 2000, he has successfully conducted a series of research projects sponsored by national research fundings.
